The regional cleantech business is looking for talent!
Content
The new emerging markets for cleantech where the www.southbaltic-cleantech.eu plays an important role must face many challenges to broaden the market. One challenge identified by the region of Blekinge in Sweden was the difficulty to recruit competent staff for their cleantech business. So, three SME support networks, Techtank for advanced engineering alliance, Blue Science Park and NetPort business center, teamed up to organize a common job portal. This is not only to address their over 100 SMEs needs but also to stimulate and keep young talent within the region.
Ingela Håkansson, project manager at Techtank, says “– The new platform gives an overview over what special competence are needed for the moment. This made possible by our close cooperation with our member SMEs and we can now share their needs through a common channel. It is very useful when visiting job fairs and universities”.
The portal offers over 30 new positions for the moment and it´s a good example how to team up for the development of the regional cleantech business. There will also be a regional technical- and recruiting fair on the 7th of February 2019.
