New links between Lithuania and Poland on desk

At 9th March of 2018 Premier minister of Lithuania Saulius Skvernelis and Head of the Government of Poland Mateusz Morawiecki in Vilnius strengthened cooperation and communication links between two countries. Lithuania and Poland have old neighbourhood history. Nowadays Poland is third trade partner and second market of Lithuanian goods. „We see that our strategic cooperation in many areas: energy, trade, economy, business, culture or, for example, television programs - cooperation is deeper, closer, "said the Polish prime minister. Lithuania is ready to be as intermediary in disputes between EU and Poland. Rail road connection between Poland and Lithuania will be recreated. Speedway “Warsaw – Kaunas” will be finalised till 2024. Starting from May 2018 will increase number of flights from Lithuania operating by “LOT“. Good news for Interreg projects is intention to establish ferry connection „Klaipeda – Szczecin “.
