Regional support on energy and climate protection programmes on national and EU level for a successful application

A wide range of energy and climate funding programmes of different topics and institutions are offered on national and international level. They vary in target groups, objects, requirements and beneficiaries. In general, companies, research institutions and citizens need to search for themselves and evaluate the best possible solution. If no experiences exist, it is very hard to choose the correct option and estimate the consequences.

So what is missing, is a pro-active and independent funding support!

The project “Funding advice for energy and climate protection programmes, especially on federal and EU level”, which was developed by Leea M-V e. V., brings beneficiaries and funding programmes together. So e. g. communities and citizens are lead through the jungle of existing programmes. Advice is given for technical realization possibilities and suitable funding opportunities are recommended. Since starting the project at Landeszentrum fuer erneuerbare Energien Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (Leea M-V) in Neustrelitz in 2016, more than 120 consultations are documented. The project is known throughout the German federal state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and the number of beneficiaries increased. Companies and citizens as well as associations and communities were supported by the experts of Leea M-V. The funding advisors are not only available in the offices in Neustrelitz, but as well at events, workshops and seminars throughout Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Furthermore, in engineering and architecture companies. After the first consultation other specialists will be included in the process, to support the technical implementation of the particular project. The advisor is neutral, but focuses on the regional economic value and supports local companies, such as supplier and architects.

The technical topics range from:

  • Construction of new buildings,
  • Modernisation,
  • Energy and heating systems,
  • Energy management systems,
  • Storage technologies,
  • Infrastructure in cities and rural areas,
  • Smart city,
  • Smart home
  • Smart senior
  • Climate protection programmes

Afterwards the correct funding programme is chosen for the planned activity or project. Since 2018, for the digital support an interactive website was launched. A database provides information on different funding programmes for every target group. Search options such as requirements, durations and deadlines support the beneficiaries and focus on a limited number of results

The aim of this project is to increase the number of successful application of beneficiaries in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in climate protection programmes in order to contribute to the reduction of CO2 emissions.

The project is funded by “The European fund for regional development of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern” (EFRE).
