The IAG – Ihlenberger Abfallentsorgungsgesellschaft mbH – is an innovative and self-responsible operating company owned by the Federal State of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Our credo and subsequently our activities are committed in full responsibility to the secure disposal of waste with the target on a sustainable environment protection. Our core business is focused on the treatment, recycling and final disposal of municipal, industrial and hazardous waste.

Facilities:

-One of Europe’s largest landfills for hazardous waste, filling capacity: approx. 8 M m3

-Residual waste treatment facility Ihlenberg, annual capacity: 80,000 tons of municipal and commercial waste

-Treatment plant for the recycling of shredder light fraction, annual capacity: 60,000 tons of SLF

-Stationary and mobile plants for dust-free unloading of dust-raising waste

-High-tech leachate-treatment with a two-staged reverse osmosis plant

-Two block heat and power plants (7 gas engines)

Operating hours:

-12 hours daily, Monday to Friday

-52 weeks per year

Landfill capacity:

-Up to 4,000 tons daily, 80,000 tons monthly

-1 M tons annualy
